Blog post

Monday, April 15, was a quite busy day.  I gave key note speech and ran brief workshop at the company in the morning.  (I had fun interacting with people and hoped that I would have more time for that!) Took Narita Express to Narita to catch the light to Washington DC.

At the counter, I found out that my flight from Sao Paolo to Salvador was canceled and the United staff tried to find other flight, only to find that there is one later. (i.e. I will have 8 hr layover in Sao Paolo!).  It took much longer for this and by the time I got to the lounge, I had so little time to catch up with things.  (That is why this blog is one day late!)

The flight was fine and I ended up sleeping 7 hours or so(as usual.)  I saw one movie Vice which I wanted to see, and part of Mary Poppins Returns (I fell asleep in the middle!). It is good that I love flying.  (That is where I catch up with sleep!)

After landing at IAD in DC, I had to wait over 1.5 hours for the immigration.  As I get used to face recognition and/or kiosk in Japan, JFK and Shanghai, I find this arrangement so outdated. There were many people who were worried about missing their connections.
