img_2695One of the three events I hosted/attended on Culture Day (Nov. 3) was WonderFLY Discovery event (website only in Japanese it seems) near Roppongi. It is the crowdfunding initiative sponsored by ANA and two people(photo on the left) I have known through Blue Wing and XPRIZE have been working on it to make it happen. I am one of the judges and was happy to come to the event only for few hours. (I had promised to go to clarinet recital by my artist friend and hosted the special session #43 of Davos Experience in Tokyo series later that evening.)
It was just about the first time I was involved with this type of event and found it very exciting. I learned a lot from my colleague (other judges) Hasegawa san of Leave a Nest Co., Ltd. and Yoichi Ochiai san whom I had met at TEDxTokyo event a few years ago.
The organizers gave me a few minutes for me to talk (though it was not a part of the plan) and I shared my love for flying and travel and img_1469asked participants to develop “crazy” ideas. (I always want us to develop crazy ones!)
img_1755img_2772-%e3%81%ae%e3%82%b3%e3%83%94%e3%83%bc Ochiai san’s talk was fascinating and we asked him to demonstrate his audio device ?(not sure whether this is the right term) at the meeting room after his talk (while participants were brainstorming). I also wonder whether we could organise some forum to capitalise on the network Hasegawa san has w SMEs.

They served us lunch(as well as participants)  served at ANA Premium class.(and later Corona beer! I missed it to my regret!)  (It was the firs time I tried img_2761-%e3%81%ae%e3%82%b3%e3%83%94%e3%83%bclunch for Premium class!)
I will be waiting for many to apply so that we can get crowdfunding started soon.
