The second DBJ New Business Plan Competition for Women Entrepreneurs is now underway.  It is one of the initiatives made by the Development Bank of Japan Inc.  to encourage women entrepreneurs.  The deadline is about a month a half away and the seminar will be held this coming Monday, January 21.  Deadline for registration is TODAY, Jan. 15. So hurry! Please use the inquiry form to state that you want to participate the seminar on January 21.

Note, this is NOT limited to Japanese nationals. Anybody can apply (in fact, I hear that there were several applications made by non-Japanese last year.  We want more! )

I have been involved with the initiatives to work on Education & Skills and to resolve Gender Parity issues in Japan, and I consider this type of business plan competition a great opportunity to learn and to seek the opportunities.

In working for Education & Skills 2.0-New Targets and Innovative approaches, and Gender Parity issues, I have realized that there are quite a few opportunities for the young (at heart, included) entrepreneurs to go beyond borders of many kinds. This is one of them.

I also come across with people who say that they are not happy with the status, but who have difficulty making some move.  When you take some action, no matter what, the new opportunities will open up (this is how I feel from my own experiences).

So here  is one of the opportunities for you.  Come to the seminar on Monday, Jan. 21, apply for the competition!  The world will be waiting for you!  For details, please check this link. You can get details for application from here.
