Blog post

I wore suits today which I bought in Bay Area a few decades ago.  As the spring is here, I replaced (i.e. cleaned, folded etc.) my winter clothes and changed them to spring/summer clothes.

As I was thinking about what to wear this morning, the suits caught my eye.  I had thought that I had already given this particular one to some auction or something, but obviously I must have kept it.  So I decided to try, not knowing whether it still fits me.

It did work!  Some spots are a bit tight, but I can still wear the suits I bought decades ago.  As I wrote before, I heard from the experts in fashion industry, the following. “If your wardrobe is a few years outdated, you are in trouble.  If it is more than a few decades ago -I believe he said over 25 years!-, it could be beautiful.”

I now realize that I am one of those MOTTAINAI kind and have trouble disposing items.  What made me smile, though, is that I can still wear the suits bought several decades ago.  i.e. I have NOT gained much weight or fat!

It is possible that I may have looked as if coming from the ancient times, but I felt young!
