Blog post

Yesterday, September 24 and today, we had Team Building exercise for the incoming class of ICS. It was held at Waku Waku Village in Takao. Team Building Exercise marks the beginning of the new academic year at ICS and majority of faculty members and of staff participate as well as the second year students to help. As many students pick Takao experience as their most memorable events at ICS, it makes a great impact and starts a new year.

This year, I joined the group starting with dinner last night and attended the morning session this morning. I was scheduled –and was very much looking forward to –to do demonstration for high element-i.e. climbing high up with all the safety gear and do quite challenging things up high, but could not do as I have pretty bad shoulder and biceps injuries. It was a big disappointment, but instead, I showed how to put Harness around as last year.)

I always get very excited to welcome the incoming class, and do various games outdoor in the lovely surroundings of Takao (It is quite amazing how much greens we have just outside of Tokyo!). This year was no exception. I met and talked with several students from different countries. I am very much looking forward to another academic year with young people from all over the world. This event reflects today’s interconnected and diverse world.

    Hi Ishikura-san, はじめまして。

I happened to find your blog when I was searching the info of Hitotsubashi ICS long time ago and have started to be an anonymous fan of this blog since then.

I have been interested in MBA program at ICS, but no chance to apply to the program yet. I hope I can make it for MBA 2010 class and can join the Team Building Exercise in Takao with you next year. Who know!

I’ll try my best to make it come true.
