IMG_0865After long week of cool and cloudy days, the sun and blue sky seems to be back in Whistler, just in time for my friends’ visit from Tokyo. Today began as cloudy, but it cleared up and bright sun showed up, lifting my spirit several times! I am particularly glad as my friends from Tokyo are arriving tomorrow and nice weather gives us more options for fun activities.
As I was getting ready to welcome them, I went to mini Farmers Market (smaller version of Sunday’s) only to find fruits and some other things. I wanted greens and other vegetables, but none were there. My friend and I sat in the sun over drinks for a while, catching up what we did in the past few weeks.
As Crankworx, a big mountain bike event, is starting this weekend, many people are in town with bikes. (Some parking lots are closed for the display and demo.)
Unlike young people with heavy equipment for mountain bike, the children are having fun with their bikes around my unit.
IMG_0859I tried microwave oven popcorn for the first time today, and it is wonderful! Now I am ready to watch Olympics with friends with popcorn at night. (They broadcast main events in the prime time after 8:00 pm, so we get to enjoy full day of outdoor activities AND Olympics at night!)
