IMG_4900 During my 1-week stay in NYC, I saw four shows, went to two concerts and one jazz concert for fun. You need to be quite crazy to cover so many, given the weather (it started COLD, turning spring-like, and back to more seasonal) and the time difference of 13 or 14 hours. (We went through daylight saving time change.)

I had family dinners, first communion for my grand daughter, dinner with friends, etc. etc. during that time, too.

What stayed constant was my visit at the sports club 2 blocks away every morning. (It is open from 5:00 to 11:00 weekdays and 7:00 to 9:00 on weekends.)

Despite the fact that I usually get up around 4:00 a.m., I managed to stay awake for the shows and concerts, by staying away  from (or having little) alcohol for dinner. I am still experimenting every time, by trying double espresso sometimes.

IMG_4888 This time, the hardest was the concert last night at NY Phil. I had to fight to stay awake, despite the fact that it started at 7:30 (instead of usual 8:00) and my seat was 5th row from the stage in the center (i.e. excellent seat).

It has been a fun week and I got some done, too. (I love the shows as it gives me opportunities to have the sense of people–sometimes tourists, sometimes, NYers and the way the show is put together, how acting/word is done.

While I was waiting for my car, I got my thoughts more or less together for the two seminars scheduled next week.  So after all, it was quite productive week.
