Shogi Ryuoh sen title match has been underway.  Yoshiharu Habu, Kisei, is challenging Ryuoh, Akira Watanabe.  The game No. 1 was held in Shibuya and the challenger won the game.  Yesterday and today, Game No. 2 was held in Ofunato city, Iwate prefecture and the game was just won by the challenger.    Game no. 3 will be held on Nov. 4 and 5 in Maebashi.

I have not followed Shogi title match, and have now checked the games in the past few weeks. Shogi seems to be in the transition, as younger pros show up in title match and won the titles. Now six pros have seven major titles, it is an exciting time as younger pros now dominate title match unlike the pros with the same age with Yoshiharu Habu such as Moriuchi, Y. Sato and Goda were regular participants in major title match.  Shogi world is changing….
