Blog post

I am now at Vancouver Airport, waiting for the flight back to Haneda, Tokyo.  It is still Monday here and the new week is now starting. For me it will be a week full of seminars/meetings etc. in Japan.  On Thursday, July 25, I will go to Fukuoka to moderate the panel at Symposium by Japan Productivity Center. I plan to meet with some people in Fukuoka who are doing interesting/exciting things while I am there.  Friday, July 26, is the SINCA vol. 11 Skill session where we learn coding in English.  As coding and communication are two skills required today and tomorrow, we are looking forward to having many people attend. Saturday July 27, is the Session #3 of Global Agenda Seminar 2019.  We will discuss how we can work across differences (this year’s theme) in the first half, based upon the book we all read.  In the second half, we will Mr. Tanaka of NHK as our guest and watch/discuss films which won Japan awards.  I watched quite a few to select the ones we will show, but they are very interesting and creative.

On Monday, July 29 and Tuesday, July 30,  I will have back to back board meetings.  On Tuesday, I will give a talk on G20/SDGs and strategy at Toyo Keizai SDGs symposium. I will leave on Wednesday, July 31, to come back to Vancouver. So it will be a busy week.  (I will write more about my plan for August, as it is also quite complicated….)
