Quiet and peaceful days in Kauai

After the struggle to get the article and paper done to meet the deadline AND send it off via e-mail when the Internet access did NOT work on the first day after I arrived in Kauai, things get very much into the holiday/vacation mode. I now feel totally relaxed in Kauai. It is SO quiet and peaceful.
Every morning, I go to the gym little after 6 a.m. (when it is dark) and after my routine, walk back to my unit around the beach, watching the sun rise and the beautiful ocean. It is so beautiful and so relaxing. I feel so close to nature. The only sound you hear is the sound of the wave.
Then I make my own coffee (Kona with Hazelnut which smells SO good!), while taking a shower. I then sit at the lanai, reading, writing etc. overlooking the ocean.
Every other day or so, I play golf in the afternoon. I play for fun and it is so relaxing. Nobody pushes you and you can play at your own pace. You do not see too many people. People are nice and quite friendly.
While playing, I see some bright color flowers and nice houses around he course. What a nice, relaxing way to spend a day! It is also great to keep in touch with people wherever they are, via e-mail. Many season’s greetings go back and forth and you feel very connected wherever you are. It is a great combination!
Tomorrow, on Christmas Day, I will call some in the east coast and in Japan!
