Blog post

img_1721As described on this blog earlier together with Bloomberg quotes, my comment on the book “100 year life” by Lynda Gratton and Andrew Scott is post on FT site, as the books business school professors recommend.
I received a note from FT staff a few weeks ago and was interviewed by telephone. I had wondered what became of it, and then I found my name in Andrew Scott’s tweet and found the site.

I do like the book very much as it has very positive tone for longevity (i.e. we have so much more time to design our own career/lifestyle)  and useful and interesting suggestions regarding assets (vitality and transformational, for example, in addition to financial, which tends to attract so much attention.)

. img_1716 As I read my comment  now, it seems quite personal remarks, and some on implications for the ageing in general are not included.  But I am happy that they post my remarks.

I feel this issue even closer to my heart now,  probably because I am a baby boomer generation (which is often the topic discussed in Japan now that there were less than one million births this past year!), watched Tony Bennet’s 90th birthday event where he is still going strong, and my Dad just celebrated 95th birthday!  As the year 2016 is coming to close, it will be a good time for all of us to think about how we design our life.
