This is the fourth of the interview series with past participants of Global Agenda Seminar series.  The guest is Yuka Tanimoto, currently, Deputy Editor in Chief of Forbes Japan.  She was the participant of the first GAS in 2010, when she worked at Nikkei NBC (I recall.)

Her activities in recent years cover global and a variety of fields, including interview of top leaders in different countries, moderator/panelist at international conferences and author of several books.

During her interview she discussed how she thought about her uniqueness and what she would like to pursue when the securities company she joined right after she graduated from college went under. Some of her process of thinking will be helpful for those in financial services industry which seems to undergo huge transformation due to technology.   In her words, she is freelancing, which is one of the career options today and tomorrow.

She was kind enough to do interview series for GAS 2018 last year, and participated  as one of the panelists at SINCA launch session in September 2018, I joined panel when she hosted the special seminar featuring her new book (in Japanese.)

She will join the panel on Estonia to celebrate the opening of new office of Forbes Japan on May 30.  (We happen to hold the SINCA Startup session featuring Estonia the next day! Registration for our event on May 31 is here.)

You can read my blog entry on her interview here.  Video of the interview in English is below.  Enjoy..
