brochureYesterday afternoon(as it is already Dec.2) , I went to Kyoto to join the 90th birthday celebration of Dr. Masao Horiba, founder and advisor of Horiba & Co. I have known Dr. Horiba almost a decade as I met him for the first time at the Symposium. I had known of him, but had not heard him speak. I was so impressed that I went to say Hello.

He made me feel like an old friend from many years and I visited him and his wife many times in Kyoto since then.

I have been invited to many events of the company such as 88th birthday two years ago, etc. I sometimes went to Kyoto just to have lunch with Dr. & Mrs. Horiba a few times.

It is so exciting to be able to join the celebration for the 90th birthday. The party they organize is always so much fun and so uniquely Kyoto. 90th birthday was no exception.

As I stayed until the end, I did not get home until little before midnight (reading the book he gave me on Shinkansen & intrigued again!)

I am very fortunate that I met with people like Dr. & Mrs. Horiba and have had the privilege to get to know them.
