Blog post

I may have talked and/or written about it already, but I believe that skills we need when world is undergoing unprecedented transformation include English (for now), physical stamina and IT skills (mainly coding.) (Resilience and mindset not to give up are also critical, but it can be developed through experience, rather than “learning”  and  I focus on the two/thee. )  I tend to focus on these new skill development in the summer as it is cool, quiet and I have block of time except when I have friends over to stay with me or spend weekend with friends from Vancouver etc. I used to focus on breathing, mindfulness, roller blade as well water rafting and ziptrek.

This year, I decided to focus on coding (I am now taking WordPress course for 16 weeks with some struggle-see my photo above.) I also decided to try short impromptu speech in English, as I want to practice what I preach.  (At the get-together of Global Agenda Seminar 2018, I recommended that making 5 minute speech in English on any topic would go a long way to develop English capability.)  I also want to develop my iMovie and video skills more. So here is my attempt to kill two birds with one stone.  I made short iMovie about my days in Whistler and made voice over in English.  Please take a look.
