The annual meeting of the World Economic Forum is starting tomorrow, Tuesday, January 23, in Davos-Klosters in Switzerland. Heads of state and business/academia/civil society leaders will gather in ski resort to discuss and debate global agenda. This meeting is sometimes called “lounge talk” in ski resort by the “elites” who are out of touch with the reality of the world. Whether you agree with this assessment or not, I believe it helps to find out what topics “leaders” discuss/debate and how diverse their views are. (Quite different from what seems to be “consensus” seeking in Japan!) However, it requires quite a bit of time and energy to follow their webcast etc.
I have better solution to get the best of both worlds!.  Instead of going to Davos where you feel impact of climate change and threat of security issues, why not join us in Tokyo, this Friday, Jan. 26 at #55 session of Davos Experience in Tokyo session.
It coincides the last day of annual meeting and it is expected that the President Donald Trump may appear on that day. It will be interesting to find out what he says about globalization, free trade, immigration, climate change, women empowerment (all the co-chairs of this year’s meeting happen to be women) and “America First” principle in this context.

We will try to summarize/highlight debates during the annual meeting and discuss/debate in small breakout groups in Tokyo.  It will be casual, informal, risk free, and fun, followed by networking.  For details and registration, go to this site.  Looking forward to seeing many of you there!

Below is the video to get the sense of the meeting there. (It is very long. So just skim the beginning.)
