fullsizerender-27Annual Meeting of Global Future Council held in Dubai is just about to finish. Now the closing plenary is underway, which marks the last program of the meeting.
I was one of the speakers at the Regional Transformation-Japan at 8:30 a.m. this morning. I got up at 3:00 a.m. this morning (there is 5 hour difference between Dubai and Japan) and could not go back to sleep as I started thinking about the session. So I decided to get up and prepared the brief talk.
The session was interesting and lively, despite relatively small number of participants. (Photo is with two other speakers and our moderator.)
After the Japan session, I went to sit in the US session which was packed. It was interesting to hear the comments by the people of the Forum who had expected that Hilary would win. (I shared their shock and disappointment…)
Then two council sessions were held where we discussed the next steps with lunch in between. Now all the sessions are almost over.
Reflecting the two days (hard to believe we just met for two days only!), it was very interesting and I learned a lot. We owe a lot to those two of the Forum who worked so hard to get ready for the meeting and to summarise intensive discussions.
I will leave early tomorrow morning and go back to Tokyo late tomorrow night.
