Blog post

Today and tomorrow (February 18 and 19) see the Game No. 4 of  Shogi Ousho sen title match in Hirosaki city, Aomori prefecture. Defending Ousho, Akira Watanabe so far won 2 games against 1 by challenger Yoshiharu Habu.  It will be an exciting and intense game between the two again this time.  Just by looking at the photo of two professionals, you can tell how concentrated they seem to be thinking!

Hirosaki (Aomori prefecture, in general, I believe) is known for apples and both professionals seem to have enjoyed apple sweets today.  (See blog photo-though in Japanese)  Apples are now in season, I trust, and I have bought a box which I am still working on.  (In fact, I just had half an apple after dinner.  It tasted so fresh!–I hope it is from Aomori.)

Today’s game ended with A. Watanabe  choosing his next move (Fujite–not sure how you call it in English.)  Tomorrow, the game will resume at 9:00 a.m. and will continue throughout the day.
