Blog post

Today, September 19, is the day of Game No.  3 of  Shogi Ouza sen title match.  It is held in Morioka, Iwate Prefecture where I visited June last year, three months after the earthquake and tsunami.

Defending Ouza Akira Watanabe won the first game, and the second game was won by challenger, Yoshinaru Habu.   Both games seemed to be very difficult, as top professionals seemed to have had difficult time figuring out the moves.

As it is one-day game (unlike Meijin sen or Ryuoh sen which last for two days), the winner will be decided usually by 9:00 p.m. or so.  I will keep on watching and guessing (as I do not know how to play!) the progress of the game.
