Blog post

It is such a short notice, but as “giving up” is not in my dictionary, so here is the event scheduled the day after tomorrow (Feb. 28) at Roppongi Academy Hills. I have been somewhat involved with JWLI and have wrote/attended some events they hosted.(Photo on the left shows the dinner last year.)

This seminar will feature two Fellows who attended JWLI program last year-Keiko Chida who founded NPO (and past participant of Global Agenda Seminar series I plan to hold this year, too) and Akari Yuki of Fast Retailing. Both participated in the JWLI program last year and have learned many things related to social entrepreneurship etc. in Boston, which they will share at the seminar. I met with Keiko san after a while last year at the reception and may have met Akari san, as well. (Not sure.)
In addition to the talk by the two, Ms. Sawame of Fish Foundation will introduce the application process of the JWLI fall program. I think this is such a great opportunity for Japanese women and hope many of you will take an advantage of this opportunity. As I wrote on the Opinion page of the Japan Times, you should always “Go for it!” with the spirit of Dame-Moto. (I am not sure whether my schedule allows me to attend even briefly, but I may.)
