I participated in the face-to-face meeting at the office after 3 months.  During the past 3 months, we did it online using zoom.  Other  meetings were done in the same way.

It was good to see people after three months and discussed various issues in the same room (with more spaces in between)  At the same time, I realize it takes almost 2 hours extra to go back and forth.  I think we need to review meetings of various kinds to decide which one to do it face-to-face and which we can do online.  i.e. hybrid style.  Some meetings are just confirmation of certain documents and can easily be done online with materials shared beforehand. Some meetings are short, and you spend more time commuting.  For other items which lend itself better to interactive discussion can be done face-to-face.

It is important to see both have advantages and disadvantages.  What we need to do now is NOT go back to face-to-face without examining the objective, participants and the type of discussion/debate needed.  After some experience, in the past three months, we are in good position to think it over and decide our next steps.  It is great t have options, but we need to experiment and see which option works better for what purposes.  At the same time, we should always look for more options.  Many lessons to learn…
