Blog post

wefAs the year 2016 is coming to end, my mind already goes to the year 2017! (though I have NOT written my Season’s greetings yet…)
The first week of January (from Jan. 3 for a week) will be spent in New York where I see my family and go to shows (I have already reserved three shows and now looking for the show at Broadway…)
The Annual Meeting of the World Economic Forum will be held from January 17 though 20 in Davos. Though I have worked for the Global Futures Council and there will be some sessions on the topic of Shaping the Future of Education, Women and Work, I will be watching/following the events in Davos via Webcast.
insertedimageOn Wednesday, January 25, I will participate in the Global Women’s Leaders Summit 2017 at Roppongi Academy Hills. We had a prep. meeting yesterday and we are in the process of asking some questions to those who apply for the event. (I am very much looking forward to the responses!) Though it is mainly done in Japanese (I believe), you can apply via this website (in Japanese).
Two days later on Friday, January 27, we will host #44 of Davos Experience in Tokyo series. The topic is the role of media and how we should respond and behave to the era of “fake news.” As there have been so many tweets and reports in media on how President Elect site-logoTrump has used tweets in a very unconventional way, this is a very important topic for all of us to think about at the beginning of the new year. (In fact, this is not just limited to the US…)
Davos.. event is open to all and done in English. Registration is already open via this site.
On Sunday, January 29, we will host the reunion of Global Agenda Seminar series. The topic is how we can work more efficiently and effectively with the help of technology and can enrich our career and life. This is the event just for the GAS alumni, but we will host the session with the similar content later in Davos Experience in Tokyo series which is open to all. (dates not decided yet.) We will keep you posted, so stay tuned. We will learn how to collaborate using cloud, prepare video/slide shows quickly (as I have been learning from 14-year old future You tuber…!)
