We hear ( and I believe) that technology frees us from restraints of geographical location and time. It definitely helps us to make use of geography and time difference by moving tasks to different areas on 24/5 basis.
One thing we cannot still overcome is the time difference. I was invited to attend the teleconference which starts at 1:00 am Local time tomorrow morning (or in 1.5 hours1)
After debating, I decided not to participate as I have full schedule tomorrow. I responded to the staff in charge, who responded that he understands and makes sure that I am informed.
As long as we try to cover many different parts of the world at the same time, we cannot free ourselves from this dilemma. Even though I am against too much focus on face-time as we often see in evaluation in Japan, voice time may still count?
