Blog post

jetlagDuring the past week, I had the opportunity to meet with different groups/people and visiting new places. It began with the workshop style executive ed. program at one company. Then I hosted the session #40 of Davos Experience in Tokyo series at NEC to learn some AI related technologies. Though this is a series I have hosted for the past 3.5 years, we plan in such a way that the topic is current and that we can discuss and brainstorm the topic from new perspectives.
Over the weekend, my audience changed from business people (Friday as above) to hundreds of high school students(Saturday), and back to small group of business people.(Sunday)

I learn a lot from their questions and reactions. (In addition, I had the opportunity to get exposed to professional soccer game as a part of the preparation for the Forum in October and talked with the people of Soccer J-League.)
Then I flew to Manila to join a very different group of people for round-table discussion. The group consisted of academics, officials of regional and global institutions about Future of Asia and the World.

These diverse experiences were sometimes a bit too stimulating and overwhelming, but definitely leave something to think about and thus have changed me. These experiences again convince me the importance of getting out of your comfort zone (as they say) and fun of exploring into the so called “uncharted territory.”
Now I am in NYC and am waiting for more opportunities to meet w new people and new exposures.
