It is the first week of the last month of the year 2019 and busy month has begun.  I see many Christmas trees everywhere and people seem to be busy doing many things. Package delivery people seem to be in full swing, as we still have year-end gifts (Oseibo), mainly as business practices.

Unlike the US, holiday season is Japan does NOT start with Thanksgiving holidays with crazy shopping for Christmas presents, mainly for families and friends.  I hear that Black Friday sale was the highest in the record and today, Cyber Monday, could also reach the record level.

Being in the US for the holiday season gives festive spirit, but every place is so crowded. (Last year, I was in NYC in the middle of December, and had difficulty getting show tickets. I ended up seeing two movies-Star is Born and Bohemian Rhapsody on giant screen!)  This year, the weather has been so bad that more people may shop online.  I wonder how Amazon and others handle…
