Blog post

After spending a week of the series of meetings, seminars, workshops and symposium, I am back in Whistler, British Columbia.  It was very hot and humid in Tokyo (and in Fukuoka), but when I arrived in Vancouver airport, I could feel the cool, refreshing air.

Picking up the rental car, doing some grocery shopping, I drove up to Whistler in about three hours. (I follow the similar routine of stopping by at the Whole Foods grocery store and at Starbucks on the way to keep myself awake after the 9+ hour flight from Tokyo.)

bc7301 When I left BC a week ago, it was still light at 10:00 p.m., but it is now getting dark around 9:00 p.m.  (See photo taken from my unit little after 9:00 p.m.)

It is nice to be back to the quiet and peaceful place of BC.  Though I can enjoy the cool and fresh air,  many teleconferencing is scheduled this week including the one  I just finished.  Probably it is the best of both worlds or “connect” in a new way!  (except the time difference!)
