Blog post

Annual meeting of the World Economic Forum (often called “Davos meeting” will start on Tuesday, Jan. 23 in Davos-Klosters in Switzerland. As informed earlier on this blog, this year’s topic is “Creating a Shared Future in a Fractured World” and some say that the US President D. Trump may come to Davos. Whether it will materialize or not remains to be seen, as the White House is faced with so many issues around the threat of government shut down in four days (Jan. 19), and some of the words that the President Trump reportedly used? in the closed door meeting, describing some countries, among others.
I think it will be quite interesting to see how President Trump reacts to this year’s topic as he advocates “America First”, which to me, shows almost no interest in shared future! As all the co-chairs of the meeting happen to be women this year, how would he react?
On the last day of the AM, we will host “#session 55 of Davos Experience in Tokyo series at Wilson learning Worldwide in Roppongi/Kamiyacho. We plan to discuss/brainstorm the same issues/topics as discussed in Davos, Switzerland, as the timing should work to see live stream from there.
Join us on Friday and participate in the discussion made possible across continents due to technology (I hope it will work!) In the meantime, you can ask questions to leaders at the AM by recording 20 second video  and/or tweet through here. Ask questions to them directly and find out how they respond!
For details and registration, go to our site. Looking forward to seeing many of you there!
