Yesterday, April 27, I went to two receptions back to back. The first was the 30th for Unicul International and 17th anniversary for ewoman both founded by Kaori Sasaki held at Roppongi Hills Club. I was impressed with the fact that she started business with such foresight 3 decades ago and have continued evolving them into the new form.
Many people I know were there and those who made speech were Who’s Who among business leaders in Japan. In the middle of the party, the Visionary Gospel Choir sang (I heard them before at other occasions. I wish I could have stayed to listen to the whole program.)

Then I went to another reception called Japanese Technium: Technology Art by Yoichi Ochiai and Digital Nature lab held at Yahoo Japan. I had a bit of trouble locating the place and finally made it at the tail end of the talk show in Part 1.
There were many people, some of whom I met at other places. We took 15 minute tour with Yoichi explaining the pieces. As always, some of them were beyond me, but I was intrigued by jacket with music built in?, wheelchair look alike, but with very different objective, etc. etc.
It was so stimulating and inspiring as it seems to show positive view of what’s ahead of us- media, technology, art and fun, with touch of unique Japan. It will continue on until May 27 at Yahoo Japan. Highly recommended. (I rushed through, so I will try to go back before it is over!)
