Leaving for Boston..
I am just about to leave for the U.S. east coast. There will be a workshop on competitiveness course at Harvard Business School on Monday and Tuesday next week. I am particularly excited about the workshop because it seems that there will be so many people attending the workshop. (We will use the new software starting this year, so everyone of us has to learn the new trick!)
I will have a presentation on the impact of the competitiveness initiatives in which I share our experiences in getting the positive aspect of competition across, (as a matter of fact, yesterday at Porter Prize reception, Mr. Tadashi Yanai, CEO of Fast Retailing said that competition is what stimulates all of us to stretch and what brings incredible innovative and creative capability from us. I agree with his view of perceiving the competition as something positive and constructive).
We will have other sessions in which we discuss curriculum, recruiting, etc. etc. I am very much looking forward to the exciting workshop.
Though I still have some preparation to do for the workshop, and have another meeting in New York City with some people at Columbia, I will have some time to enjoy–probably watching people do holiday shopping and decorating the Christmas tree!
